Modular Compost Heap & Seed Station
Made and positioned another section to my modular compost heap. Here I have positioned it off kilter to enable you to see how it just slides into position. Once it is full of compost it wont be able to move. When I want to dig out the compost or move the whole thing even, I can simply lift off each section and re-site it.

Most of my early sowing are indoors on windowsills so I bought this plastic covered shelf type greenhouse for our porch. At the base there is a very small electric heater which keeps the temps at around 15 degrees C overnight. The cover zips up to make a complete envelope.

The stacking, sectional compost bin is a great idea! Have you trialed it yet? Did you see the idea somewhere or is this your idea? Very curious to see how it works out. It makes the job of turning LOOK less daunting, even if it is the same total volume.

Yes, the one shown in this photo is now full of compost although I haven't had to move/turn it yet. I got the idea from my beekeeping background, it occurred to me that I could simply stack sections on top of each other as you do with standard beehives. It is 1m square which holds rather a lot of compost.
