Norm's Diary

My daily life in the forests of Dalsland.

I needed a more secure way of holding logs whilst I cut them with the chainsaw. Previously I had used an old folding workmate which wasn't very secure and was quite frankly dangerous! I thought about buying a metal sawhorse but was talked out of it by some members of the Powerswitch forum. I searched the internet and found this one on Sketchup.

I used some decking planks that my brother-in-law had left over from his deck construction and built it almost exactly to the dimensions in the sketchup plans.

The only thing I had to buy were 3 x 70mm coach bolts, washers and nuts. The sawhorse is sturdy and as it folds flat, is easily moved.
